# eth\_chainId

POST `https://mainnet.valuechain.xyz`

Returns the chain ID used for signing replay-protected transactions.

## Parameters

None.

## Result

**Chain ID** (quantity): Hex-encoded chain ID. Mainnet is `0x45f9f` (286623); testnet is `0x21d45` (138565).
