# eth\_getTransactionByBlockHashAndIndex

POST `https://mainnet.valuechain.xyz`

Returns the transaction at an index in a block identified by hash.

## Parameters

| Name        | Type     | Required | Description         |
| ----------- | -------- | -------- | ------------------- |
| `blockHash` | hash     | Yes      | 32-byte block hash. |
| `index`     | quantity | Yes      | Transaction index.  |

## Result

**Transaction** (object or null): Transaction object, or `null` if the index is out of range.
